The Connecticut Italian-American Defense League hosted a Unity Dinner of Conference of Italian American Organizations in CT. The event host was Matt Guarnieri, Chairman of the CT Chapter of the IAA and Chairman of the Italian American Defense League.
Key note speaker was Italian American Alliance, National Chapter, President, Virginia (PAPA) Gardner .The theme of the evening was UNITY, Virginia focused on the importance of Unity and working together for success. Gardner said, "For the Italian American Community to be successful we must work together in UNITY. The Italian American Community working together, is the vital for success. We are proud Italian American's and we vote. We will never be silent again."
In attendance were over ten Italian Organizations and six groups with Italian American in a leadership role. Guests included, Deputy Consul General of New York, Consul General, Barbara Zichichi, Mayor of Sheldon, CT Mark A Lauretti, Mayor of North Haven CT,. Michael Freda, Constitution State Educators Founder, Michael Costanza UNICO Director Dr. Al Fusco. Greater Hartford UNICO President, MaryJoan Piccone. Other special guests included Tom Cama, Domenic Rapini, and Matt Guarnieri, host of The Italian-American Defense League, and Chair of the CT Chapter of the IAA.
